Unifi™ EQUIP Powered by MagView Wins MedTech’s Best New Technology Solution for Imaging
FULTON, MD — We are pleased to announce that the Unifi™ EQUIP platform was recognized as the “Best Overall MedTech Solution” in the 2020 MedTech Breakthrough Awards program. Unifi™ EQUIP is an automated solution that facilitates compliance with the FDA’s Enhancing Quality Using the Inspection Program (EQUIP) guidance.
Unifi™ EQUIP was developed by MagView as part of Hologic’s Unifi™ suite of solutions. This platform optimizes the performance of capital equipment and reduces interruptions to patient care by laying a foundation for continued image quality improvement and management of corrective action.
“Unifi EQUIP continues to make a positive impact on our customers’ quality assurance efforts and further strengthens Hologic’s position as the partner of choice for leading breast health providers,” said Pete Valenti, Hologic’s Division President of Breast and Skeletal Health Solutions.
MedTech Breakthrough is an independent organization that recognizes top companies and solutions in the global health and medical technology market. The awards program serves to find and recognize leaders in the most competitive categories of technology.
The FDA added the EQUIP initiative to their inspection program starting in October 2017 in order to reduce the number of inspection failures due to imaging problems. Sites designate reviewers to randomly perform image review, which includes documenting corrective actions where necessary.
