Document Management Module
Document Management Module
MagView’s Document Management module supports a paperless workflow by allowing you to
digitally scan or import documents/images directly into a patient’s record in MagView. MagView allows you to
define your own Document Type label and provides a Description for quick recognition when viewing all
scanned/imported images in a single window.
Support a Paperless workflow by archiving documents in electronic patient record
MagView’s document management allows you to scan pathology reports, outside physician reports, ID cards,
prior imaging results, certified return mail receipts or any other type of documents that you typically store in the
patient jacket. Document Management reduces errors caused by misplaced jackets, and stores images securely
for as long as you’d like to provide retrieval at any time.
Import already-saved images from network
The Import feature in the Document Module allows you to import images that have already been scanned or saved.
For example, sites with fax machines that can create a .jpg image on a network drive can use the Import feature
to “link” those images to the electronic patient record for organization and immediate viewing at any time.
Works with any TWAIN-compliant scanners
MagView’s document scanning is designed to be accessed from any MagView workstation connected
to a TWAIN-compliant scanning device. No additional hardware or install is required.
Organize documents by type in a single screen
All scanned/imported documents are displayed within MagView’s electronic patient record in the Documents
tab, accessible by staff during their normal workflow. Documents are organized by a Type menu that allows for
a completely user-defined list, tailored to your facility.* The Description label displays prominently in the
Documents list for staff to identify documents quickly with no additional clicks.
Requirements
- TWAIN-compliant scanner (not sold by MagView)
- Appropriate server storage space
* The Standard Document Management module allows for a maximum of two user-defined Document Types, while the Enterprise
