MagView Selected as Exclusive Sponsor for Tabar Education Courses for 2003
October 21, 2002

For the sixth consecutive year MagView has been selected by Dr. Laszlo Tabar to be a sponsor of his mammography education courses. In addition to exhibiting at the courses, MagView will be presenting hour-long workshops at the Finding Early Stage Breast Cancer course.

Dr. Tabar, a professor and course director at Falun Central Hospital in Falun, Sweden, is widely recognized as a pioneer in the importance of screening mammograms for the early detection of breast cancer. In order to share his knowledge and techniques, Dr. Tabar hosts a series of courses for physicians and technologists throughout the year. In addition to the Advanced Diagnostic course, an interdisciplinary course is offered for the modern breast center with workshops for administrators, surgeons, pathologists and oncologists.

Courses are conducted throughout the United States and are also offered in such countries as Australia, Sweden, Canada and China. The complete schedule for 2003 can be found at

In selecting MagView to participate in his conferences, Dr. Tabar acknowledges the need for proper communication and patient tracking. "The importance of excellent, careful record keeping for tracking and following up of patients for early detection and early outcomes cannot be over emphasized," says Tabar. "Not only is it required by law, it makes good sense for the patients and the mammography practice."

Dr. Tabar also understands the financial constraints of a mammography practice and recognizes the timesaving value of a computerized tracking and reporting system. "To maintain these records manually is labor-intensive, expensive and prone to errors. With a computer based tracking and reporting system such as MagView, the tracking and follow-up is automatic, economical, efficient, uniform and less prone to errors. MagView not only meets and exceeds the requirements of MQSA, it dramatically improves patient care."

MagView will be represented at all the domestic courses offered in 2003 by Dr. Tabar. For a complete schedule and how to register for courses, please visit the Mammography Education, Inc. website.
