MagView delivers a highly customized mammography information solution to serve 25 facilities. With the ever-increasing need
for dedicated mammographers to interpret studies, USTeleMammography offers
a unique solution by providing fellowship-trained, dedicated mammographers
to their client facilities.
From their headquarters in Atlanta, GA, USTeleMammography reads over
50,000 studies annually for more than 25 facilities. Licensed to read
in 25 states, their clients include hospital groups and imaging centers
throughout the country.
Providing these services for such a wide range of remote clients has
presented many challenges to USTeleMammography. One challenge was to find
a mammography information system that would satisfy their requirements,
help them meet the needs of their clients, and continue to grow with them.
As the company began to rapidly grow, they found that their current software
could no longer meet these requirements, and after researching the market,
selected the MagView Mammography Information System.
"The initial software system we purchased was not user friendly
and necessary updates to the software were extremely slow," said
President and CEO Martha Garrison, M.D. "MagView was leaps and bounds
above anything we had ever seen. We can now interpret the mammogram, create
a report, and fax the final report to the referring physician in a matter
of minutes. MagView has greatly increased our efficiency and turnaround
time." Dr. Garrison especially liked the ability to customize her
reports. "The ease of use for the physician is fantastic. I am able
to create reports that read like they were traditionally dictated and
transcribed rather than generated by computer."
With many diverse client facilities, USTeleMammography faced the challenge
of providing a unique service offering based on the individual needs of
each client. "My favorite MagView feature is the ability to quickly
customize and change reporting elements for each of our clients and physicians
in a very short time," states Director of Operations Lindy Minore.
Flexibility was also required in the management of the system. "Being
able to make changes to the system yourself, and not having to call the
programmers really makes it your system. Instead of waiting months to
get a change put in the system we can make modifications ourselves right
away," says Jennifer Bowes, Executive VP of Operations.
Their partnership with MagView has also helped USTeleMammography offer
better service to their clients and patients. "MagView makes it so
easy to check the status of a patient, see when the report was signed,
and review the outcome," says Minore. "This means I can answer
our clients' questions immediately and alleviate their concerns."
